Our projects and programs at We Care Services, Inc. are brought to reality by people with extraordinary hearts. These people are volunteer, sponsors and benefactors. They want to make a difference in other people’s lives, and we can welcome any extra hand or generous heart there is.
When you become part of the We Care Services, Inc. network, you will have the opportunity to contribute in our programs and projects:
Home Health Care Services
- Facilitating services for personal care and home care which will benefit the elderly, disabled and the ailing.
- Helping individuals to remain in their homes or residential care facilities instead of in a health care facility.
- Gathering trained staff to provide home health care to the underprivileged families with parents who are incapacitated or small children who need extra care
- Assisting in hospital discharge for patients who have relatively short-term needs.
Companion Services
- Coordinating services for homemakers, caregivers, companions, personal attendants who provide companionship services:
- Assist with Personal Tasks
- Care for Houseplants
- Light Housekeeping
- Meal Preparation
- Mobility Support
- Reminders for Medication In-take
- Reminders with Medical Appointments
- Sharing Stories and Conversations
Workforce Development Training: Strategies for Success (SOS)
- Human Resources Development Program in recruiting, training and placing individuals in employment
- Intended for unemployed and underemployed adults from 17 years of age and older
- Career counseling, job seeking skills, on-job survival skills, home health certification and other necessary support services to help students succeed in today’s competitive job market.
Community Services: Community Health Education Programs (Seminars/Workshops/Health Fairs)
- Offered in various locations in the community
- Participants are presented with various topics on disease and medication management
- Aims to provide information and skills needed to become a more knowledgeable partner in preventing illness and skills to interact more effectively with the healthcare provider.
Community Speakers Bureau
- Our information dissemination arm in the We Care Services, Inc. organization
- Functions to spread the word about our goals, activities and to increase awareness and recognition for our organization.
- To give community residents access to vital health care information
Professional Community News Bureau
- Provides intensive, consistent media relations programs that provide the community with a continuous flow of information on health care services and organization activities.
- This bureau is staffed by Faith Home Health Care and We Care Services, Inc. program participants.
Quarterly Newsletter
- A newsletter published quarterly that provide audiences with news and groundbreaking trends in home health care.
- The publication provides information regarding the agency and its activities including reports, abstracts, researches and professional journals.
College Internship Program
- We offer full and part-time internships for a semester (15 weeks) or a summer or quarter term (10 weeks).
- Participation in this program means the student’s school will award academic credit(s).
- At least 80 percent of the student’s work will be substantive and equivalent to that of an entry level professional.
- Students begin with classroom training to become certified home health care workers after which they will work with a program supervisor from our Home Health Care companies who will assist them in choosing internship sites within the community. The home health care companies will also supervise the student throughout the semester or term. These interns will be part of the front-line work force for We Care Services, Inc.
